4:12 Conference

Conference Postcard Gears - FINAL

Dear Friends,

We are excited to announce the 4:12 Conference November 2016, a Calvary Chapel Ministry Conference hosted by Calvary Chapel Bible Institute, at Lakes Ranch Christian Camp, Rotorua, New Zealand. The conference will be held from Monday, October 31st through Thursday, November 3rd with an extended conference for pastors, elders, and leadership in the weekend following. More details will follow on the extended leadership session.

You may recognize this conference as one we have previously hosted under the name of Equip. We’ve since changed the name to 4:12, based on the scripture Ephesians 4:12, “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” The character and heart behind the conference remains unchanged, and the time will continue to be an opportunity for believers from all over the Pacific Rim to come together for a time of worship, Bible teaching, and fellowship within the unique style and heart of Calvary Chapel.

We would be grateful if you would make this opportunity known to your fellowship using the PowerPoint slide and publicity material attached. For additional information regarding prices and accommodation, please feel free to contact us.

In Him,

Pastor Mark Walsh
Director, Calvary Chapel Bible Institute

Here is a list of speakers for the November 2016 conference:
Pete Nelson

As a pastor, musician, and evangelist, Pete Nelson’s worldwide travels have given him a unique perspective on the church as well as the global vision for the Gospel. Pete received Christ as a senior in high school. By 19, he was leading evangelism efforts and teaching Bible studies. As a youth pastor, Pete formed a band, The Kry. Their success launched Pete into evangelism on a global level, traveling worldwide, preaching the Gospel, and planting churches throughout Europe, Asia, and Australia. Pete’s pastoral experience includes: senior pastor at Calvary of Albuquerque; founding pastor of White Fields Community Church in Longmont, Colorado; and teaching pastor at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Currently, Pete is church planting in the Sydney area along with coordinating mission initiatives in Asia and the Middle East. Pete and his wife, Angie, have three children and one grandson.

Fernando Ortiz

Fernando was born in Tacoma, Washington and grew up all over the world – from Korea to Germany. He grew up going to church and received Jesus as his Savior in Jr High. It wasn’t until his junior year after a series of events that he began to walk away from the Lord and subsequently live a complete and total lie. It was the typical scenario of going to church on Sundays and living for himself the rest of the week.

“It wasn’t until I graduated from high school that I finally realized I couldn’t serve two masters, the world and Jesus Christ. It was in the Phoenix airport after struggling with my hypocrisy, that I surrendered my life whole heartedly to Christ and since then I haven’t been the same.”

Fernando attended Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta California, and then completed a Pastoral Internship at Calvary of Albuquerque, under Pastor Skip Heitzig.

Fernando is the Senior Pastor of Mile High Calvary in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. where he lives with his wife Carol and their three amazing children.
