History of CCBI New Zealand

Ask of me and I will give you the nations as an inheritance and the ends of the earth for your
possession”

-Psalm 2:8

our_historyAbout twelve years ago, God put New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Rim on my heart.  As my heart is for discipleship, I always wanted to start and develop a school of discipleship and ministry in this region of the world. I wanted to invest in believers and see young men and women raised up to go and to plant churches, taking the gospel to this “end of the earth”.

For 8 years and as a result of many trips to the region God knit my heart together with many brothers and sisters, especially Steve Jones, Pastor of Calvary Chapel of Hamilton and Scott Clifford, Pastor of Calvary Chapel of Rotorua. We realised that we had the same heart and together we formed the Psalm 2:8 Trust as a legally recognised body, in order to start Calvary Chapel Bible Institute of New Zealand.

As part of the wider fellowship of Calvary Chapel Bible Schools, our focus is to teach the whole word and the whole counsel of God, believing firmly that God’s mechanism for preparing the heart of man, is God’s word, in the hand of the Holy Spirit, accomplishing the work of God.

We began our first semester in February 2010 and are currently in our ninth semester.  God is blessing us!  We are excited as we have had students from New Zealand, the United States, Fiji, Australia, South Africa, Finland, and The Netherlands attend CCBI New Zealand.  We believe that God is getting ready to do some great things!  He has truly given us favor with New Zealand Immigration and we believe He has done this because He is going to be calling more men and women to join us here in what He is doing in New Zealand.  Will you be one of them?  We look forward to seeing His plans take shape.

Please pray for us as we serve the Lord in the Pacific Rim.  Pray about joining us here!
